| This ministry seeks to support and encourage single moms and their families from a Biblical perspective. Do you have a need for healthy fellowship and a support system? Are you raising your children as a single mom? This ministry seeks to support and encourage moms and their families from a Biblical perspective as they face challenges that exist from raising their children as a single parent. We discuss forgiveness, dating, marrying again, and a host of other life skills new to a single mom. We read books from Christian authors. We have evening Bible studies. We apply God’s Word to our lives. We support and pray for each other. We have discussions pertaining to how we can live well and be good role models for our children, all while following God’s Word. Next class will begin Wednesday, May 16th at 6:30 pm in the PTSM Lounge. We will be watching a 4 part video series by Pastor Andy Stanley called The New Rules for Love, Sex & Dating.' (May 16, 23, 30, June 6th) Here is the synopsis for Part I -When I meet the right person, everything will be all right. This way of thinking creates trouble in our dating lives and sets us up for trouble in marriage. In this message, Andy challenges us to ask ourselves Am I the person the person I'm looking for is looking for? And he previews God's list of behaviors that will lead to success in dating and marriage. Also, join other single moms on the 2nd & 4th Sunday mornings at 10:05 a.m. in room 229 (September - June). Stop in and have coffee and get support from other single moms. Summer fellowship, July-August, is held week nights in Scarborough.
